Takaoka Copperware & Kumiko is a fusion of kumiko--a craft of wood fitted into mysterious geometrical designs which has been passed down since the Asuka period--and Takaoka Copperware, metalwork which is endowed with 400 years of traditions by artisans who have experience making bells with a vivid and clear sound. Takaoka Copperware & Kumiko is kumiko craft including the wish for blessings in the designs, and also expressing this meaning in the color of each paper strip.
